This outfit post is brought to you by the epic thrifting skills of Laura from The Fashion Kidd. We did a clothing swap between the two of us and I couldn’t be more pleased with how it turned out!
I’m no stranger to thrifting or swapping clothes so I would excited when Laura approached me with the idea of thrifting for one another.
For just over a month, I scavenged high and low to find her the perfect piece and she did the same for me. I think we can all agree that she did a great job of finding this dreamy 1980s era dress, right?
I probably wouldn’t have bought this for myself, but after trying it on with everything in my closet, I can safely say I will keep an eye out for similar items.
It turns out this little number is versatile beyond just having a lot of fun colors to match. The cut of it is perfect to be a dress, a jacket, a tunic, a blouse, and it may even be contain a map to the Lost City of Atlantis because it’s just that awesome. I did sort of a mod styling today but I see a lot more outfits in it’s future!
A big thanks to Laura for a successful clothing swap! I’m glad to have a friend like you who feeds into my ’80s obsession and is genuinely just a great person.
If you haven’t already, stop by Laura’s blog to see what I bought for her + how she styled it. And while you’re at it, check her out on Instagram and Twitter for a super boost of inspiration.

Yes!!! I think she did a great job at finding a workable piece for you – I think it’s very feminine and you know me, I’m all about that vibe! I love how you styled it up too, which made it even more gorgeous!
Ooh, it’s so perfect! I love that it’s pastel; its harder to find good pastels, I feel like, and you styled it so well! It’s so pretty and feminine!
Omgosh that creamy coat. I love it! <3 It looks so warm and comfortable. Beautiful dress and shoes, too!
