Working at Maurices has really trained my styling eye. We have an unofficial motto that says you should only wear an outfit you’d be proud to share on social media so I’m taking that to heart by sharing my outfits that I’ve worn for my shifts this week!
While I’m not always able to document every single look, I’m going to try to share as many as I can. Hopefully this will inspire you if you also work in a creative environment.
For my short shift on Sunday, I channeled a preppy version of myself. It’s not my usual style but it was nice to try something different.. and isn’t that the fun of wearing clothes?
I layered a pastel plaid shirt under a rich blue cardigan and made the look a little different with colored jeggings!

I couldn’t wait until Wednesday to wear pink so I wore this bright hue on Monday. And I’m proud to say that none of my orange colored puffed snacks got on my white jeggings while I was on my break! Huzzah!
I Said ‘Yes’ To The Dress
Our district-wide outfit challenge this week was focused on dresses so I went with nautical vibes in this blue sleeveless dress, anchor print button-up, and a large striped purse.
Now all I need is a boat and I’m ready to set sail!
(P.S. I “won” last week’s outfit challenge with my clever pattern mixing. How cool!)
My favorite outfit of the week was this bright blue dress that resembles one we’re currently selling. I played up the color by adding this past-season kimono that has some blue specks, and then wore a few white accessories to make the whole thing pop.
