There’s no better time than the present to gift yourself.
What Your Holidays Are Missing
No matter what you celebrate this time of year, we all seem to go through the same stress of the holidays. Between parties, gift giving, and traditions to uphold, it can take a toll on our mental health!
I believe it’s very important to take care of yourself now more than ever. In an effort to do so, I made a list of self-care ideas that you can sneak in between all that holiday shopping. Enjoy!

Sit Down With a Movie
There’s something really relaxing about watching someone else’s drama unfold on screen. Not required, but highly recommended, is a hot mug of your favorite tea. I’m really digging the Yogi Pure Green Decaf lately!
No time to watch a movie alone? Pick something that everyone will love. Either way you get 1 1/2 hours of everyone enchanted by a screen.
DIY Beauty Treatments
One of my (weird) longstanding traditions is painting my nails while catching up with YouTube videos. This would also be a treat to go to a salon and have someone pamper you but I know time might not be on your side! My favorite nail color of the moment is Blue Ming by Color Club. It’s what I wear most often because it’s super pigmented and always gets me compliments!
I’ve also recently overhauled my skincare routine after some bad reactions to my dry/sensitive skin. Moisture is my top priority this season so here’s a look at some of the products I use on a daily/weekly basis!
The Curél lotions were a complimentary gift from Octoly.com and I had a chance to test them out this last week. Honestly they were too greasy for me and never absorbed into my skin no matter what I did. Not to mention the medicinal smell was nauseating! The promises seemed pretty great so I had high hopes for them but they, unfortunately, let me down. I’ve included them here in case you’re interested in trying them. Maybe you’ll have better luck! #StopScarySkin
On a happier note, I picked up these Charcoal Cleansing Nose Strips on a whim at Walmart and they did better than I expected. They weren’t a miracle product by any stretch but for a couple bucks they cleaned some gunk out of my nose and looked cute doing it!
Retail Therapy
If you’re already out shopping, why not pick up something for yourself? I prefer secondhand shopping so I hit up a few local thrift stores and then like to browse the thredUP website from the comfort of home.
TIP: New thredUP customers can use code “HANNAH” for 50% off orders up to $50.
Too tired to shop? Why not let someone do it for you! The girls over at Redbird Vintage box would love to put together a perfectly curated vintage box for you just in time for Christmas. Check out what I got in my personalized holiday box.
Plus, new subscribers can use code HANNAH10 to get 10% off the first month of any subscription service. (holiday box excluded)
A Mini Makeover
Of course I know it’s not feasible to make yourself up everyday but even little purchases can go a long way. (Like my nail polish from earlier!)
I love splurging on little beauty products that will last me awhile like my MAC lipstick in Ruby Woo, Katy Perry perfume in Killer Queen, L’Oreal lipstick in Saucy Mauve, or this recently acquired No7 Lash Impact Ultra Mascara. It was another item sent on behalf of Octoly.com except this time I was really impressed! It was a pretty bottle that gave me pretty lashes. What more can you ask for? #No7Ready
Sleep It Off
My favorite form of self care is sleeping!!!
I picked up this sleep mask at Target the other day and it’s just the right accessory for all the naps I’ve been taking lately. Hey, a girl needs her beauty sleep! LOL

I know these ideas aren’t entirely original but I think the message still bears repeating. It’s easy to get caught up in everything and forget about yourself! However you choose to unwind this season, please just take care of you. ❤
