Dressing out-of-season is what I do best!
So Clothes, Yet So Far Away
This outfit is very foreshadowing of two things. First, this turtleneck will be featured in my monthly thrift haul video on Friday and you’re among the first people to see it. (Aside from my newsletter subscribers who already saw a sneak peek!)
Second, I’m wearing a dress meant for summer in the middle of winter. Why not? Read on to find out my inspiration!

Obviously you have to do a lot of layering to wear such a delicate dress in the midst of dreary weather. I went with a turtleneck because it’s one of the ultimate cold weather essentials (probably second to sweaters) and I liked the way it looked with the sleeveless dress.
The outfit was taking on a very mod appearance so I went with that and added bright white tights and a vintage beret.
This look wouldn’t pass as true vintage or ’60s in the least, but I like that we live in a time with so much creative freedom that we can wear looks with a nod to the past.

As I said earlier, this turtleneck is something I thrifted this month and will be in my January thrift haul coming out on Friday. I’m excited to share my finds with you once again! Be sure to follow along so you don’t miss it.
