Lazy Girl Costume: Teenage Mutant Ninja Turtle

The only thing I was scared about this Halloween was not having a costume. Turns out I had nothing to worry about!

While I’ve planned out a total of three fun looks for Halloween, this Teenage Mutant Ninja Turtle onesie is the main one I plan to lounge around eating pizza in while watching Hocus Pocus on the big night.

God bless the creator of these cozy PJs because they are flippin’ amazing. It also excites me that they’re readily available at stores like Wal-Mart and Target.

The Raphael onesie I’m sporting in these pictures came from the sleepwear section at Wal-Mart. Why they only made one character is beyond me but if they ever make more, I will buy them all.

I’ve had some ups & downs with the sizing on these because they’re all made so differently. For reference, I’m a womens size 8/10 and order the XL, while I would normally be a M. Trust me when I say you’re going to want that extra fabric if you’re even slightly tall.

I already made the mistake of buying a couple onesies in a size L and then quickly regretted that choice when I tried to sit down and the whole thing scootched up on me. You’d think sleepwear would be cut generously but I guess that’s not the case with these!

I learned everything from Master Splinter.

If you’re still looking for something quick & easy (I hate myself for using that phrase because I’m seriously OVER all of those last minute costume guides on the internet – MAKE THEM STOP!) then a onesie would be a wise investment. It’s a costume, it’s pajamas, it’s the perfect choice!
