Why I Love A Summer Romper
Getting in and out of a romper might be a struggle but who cares when it looks this cute?
Aside from how awkward it becomes when you try to use a public bathroom in one of these things, rompers are still on my short list of my favorite clothes to wear.
Most of my collection is sourced from a thrift store but you’d be surprised to know that this one was bought firsthand – at Wal-Mart no less! Unfortunately it was an end-of-season clearance item so you probably can’t rush out and buy it. But I would encourage you to look everywhere for your perfect romper because you never know where it might be!
How I Styled a Romper for Summer
My hair was still purple when I bought this romper which was what first attracted me to it. Thankfully it looks just as stellar with green hair or else I’d be pretty bummed if I didn’t get to sport it.
Worn as-is, this romper (which is actually in the style of overalls) made me look like an overgrown toddler. Don’t you just hate that? So I did some creative styling by adding a lace tee underneath and a denim vest on top. Boom, instant adult! If only it was that easy in real life.
This is also one of those rare outfits that matched with multiple shoe options. I went with sandals, to be the most practical for the weather.
How Would You Wear a Romper for Summer?
Just to give you some idea of where you could wear this to, I’ve already repeated this outfit for a few different functions like a thrift outing and a casual family get together.
Don’t be surprised if you see me around this summer and I’m wearing this romper. I’ve already got some other styling ideas in my head so keep an eye out for those. Have a happy first day of summer, friends! 🙂

Jokes on Walmart because you look great in the oversized toddler romper! I can’t wear them without having major *frontal* issues ;D- so kudos to you for looking gorgeous in everything! <3<3
I love rompers! But yes, they’re all fun and games until you have to use the restroom! Haha it may be why I only have 1 romper but it’s so fun and comfy. Love that you got this one for a steal – it looks so easy and breezy and cool!
