Valentine’s Day to Night Outfit

Valentine’s Day to Night Outfit

This sweatshirt’s so nice, I wore it twice! Read on for the lowdown on re-wearing a peppy pink sweatshirt for a day to night outfit arrangement.

My usual day-to-night outfit routine consists of nothing more than putting on my pajamas after taking off the clothes I’ve worn all day. Riveting stuff!

But I am all for getting more wear out of my closet so on the rare occasions I need to wear two outfits in one day, here’s how I might do that for Valentine’s Day.

More often than not, my Valentine’s day is spent babysitting. Sometimes I even get treated to flowers from the kids or leftover candy from the parents. Not a bad gig, huh?

So I leaned towards the casual side with my look while still keeping things fun. These thrifted plaid pants have hints of pink in them which I thought went perfectly with the color of this sweatshirt.

If you’re in a casual office setting, you could even put a collared shirt under a sweater like this and instantly look pulled together and holiday appropriate. I forwent this option because a collared shirt would just be another thing that could get stained by little fingers.

Valentine’s Night Outfit

For my night outfit, I went a pretty cliché route with a skirt, heels, and a brighter lipstick. The only real wow-factor comes from the unexpected pairing of the floral purse with the heart printed sweatshirt.

Looking back, I think this outfit looks a little more Sunday-morning-church-service than night out. But it’s more challenging than you might think to make a sweatshirt with hearts on it look like anything more than something you stole out of a child’s closet.

Another way to add to this would be with a cool moto jacket or even a statement necklace. For sure if my plans included actually leaving the house and not just watching reruns on t.v., I would totally go this route.
A heart formation and a pink sweatshirt printed with hearts all over it.

That just about covers everything! Whether or not you actually make Valentine’s Day plans, why not just get dressed up for the fun of it? Even if it’s only wearing lipstick with your pajamas. You do you!
