Here’s a little Monday outfit inspiration to start your week off rad!
Does wearing two patterns at the same time count as multi-tasking? If so, then I am kicking Monday’s butt.
Truthfully, this outfit would be fun to wear any day of the week but this post just so happens to be going live on a Monday. Keep scrolling to read about my totally awesome inspiration behind it!
I got the idea for this outfit last fall while reading a 1980’s teen magazine. Is it weird that I’m the kind of person who still owns clothes from the ’80s, or that I still read magazines targeted at teenagers?
Regardless, I stashed away this idea waiting for the perfect time to break it out. Memorial Day felt right as it’s the unofficial kick-off to Summer and this outfit just screams SUMMER!
Mixing patterns is one of my favorite things so I had a lot of fun wearing this striped skirt and abstract printed top together. I infused a little bit of my modern self into the look by temporarily trying out a temporary tattoo. I went with a glittery pineapple because why not?
Maybe if real tattoos had glitter, I might consider getting one. HA! But if I only had one tattoo for life, then where would be the fun in matching my skin accessory to my outfit? Temporary is just right for me!
But I will for real get out there and have a great day and I hope you will too! Don’t forget to Pin this outfit so you can take the inspiration with you throughout the week. Thank you! 🙂
