Floral For Fall? Yes, Please!
The weather is like a Katy Perry song – it’s hot and it’s cold. So I dressed like it’s both! Try and figure me out now, Mother Nature.
Aw, transitional dressing. It’s one of my favorite types of weather to dress for! I think Courtney might be on to something when she said that pastels are going to be trending for fall. Dark colors have dominated far too long and life’s too short to always follow the same traditions.
Here’s my take on in-between dressing.
You can’t tell because I take all my photos against this cute pink wall these days but the leaves are still the same color. So I decided to bring all those soon-to-be rich fall colors into my outfit by way of this vintage floral shift dress that I usually reserve for spring (April showers bring May flowers, y’know?).
The rest of the outfit pretty much made itself. No matter how many times I wear this shift dress, I always think of new ways to style it. This time I played up the pretty purple parts by wearing these maroon jeggings and a trusty bowler hat I bought forever ago from H&M.
This shift gets hot (hello, polyester!) so there was no need for a cover-up but I’d probably throw on a denim jacket just for fun.
And there you have an outfit that is seasonally confused but still ultra adorable!
I even found a flower growing nearby that I had to work into a photo because why not?
